Two years at UW—Whitewater.  Taught seminars in Insurance Company Accounting for the UW Management Institute, UW—Madison, Central Illinois Insurance Accounting & Systems Association, Houston Casualty Insurance Company, The FREEDOM Software Group, The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, the Midwest Insurance Accounting & Systems Association, Barnett Banks Insurance Company, McGladrey & Pullen, LLP. and the State of Wisconsin Office the Commissioner of Insurance.

Goals / Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy emphasizes a rigorous development and understanding of accounting theory by relating such theory to my own actual practice along with experiences of carefully selected guest lecturers.  Case studies utilizing student group participation are used when practical.  Besides open problem solving and discussion, use of computer technology in the classroom is used.
