Registration - How to Register

Timetables
Timetables for Spring and Summer are released the first week of November. Timetables for Fall and Winterim are released the first week of April. They may be obtained outside the Registrar’s window on the second floor of DeRicci or they might be viewed online by visiting http://edgereg.edgewood.edu

On-line Registration

* To register on-line visit http://edgereg.edgewood.edu

New and Re-Entry Students
Students who are new or re-entering may not be programmed into the EdgeReg system. If you are in this category you can register with the registrar in 212 DeRicci Hall .

Registration forms are available at the Registrar’s window.

Course Prerequisites
It is important to check the prerequisites for the courses you are considering, since EdgeReg is not yet capable of doing this. Registrations are manually scanned during and at the end of the registration period for compliance with prerequisites. This is a time consuming task that can turn into a less than desirable situation for students dropped from courses (sometimes after the semester has started). Visit the course prerequisites link.

MBA Course Rotation Table
Foundation courses are offered during only one semester each year. Core and Integrating Core courses are offered every semester (with some scheduled during Summer). IC 800, Ethics is scheduled every semester and every summer, but elective courses are offered only once a year. This information is useful in long range planning. Visit the course rotation schedule link, listed above.

NOTE: IC 800, Ethics, is a required course for the MBA degree. IC 850, Studies in Change, is an approved 3 credit elective course in the MBA. Both of these courses appear under the heading "INSTITUTIONAL COURSES" in the Timetable. Don't forget that these are options

Registration Questions
If you have questions regarding the registration process, contact Ken Macur in the Lower Level Library # 25 (663-4216) or kmacur@edgewood.edu. Ken's primary responsibilities involve maintaining MBA student files, overseeing certain MBA processes and advising MBA students.

MBA Program Questions
In addition to contacting Ken Macur, you may call Lisa Goldthorpe at 663-3457 (voice mail). A two-way phone conversation is generally the best way to get answers. However, you may also use lgoldthorpe@edgewood.edu.

Accounting Prerequisite Information
For prerequisite information pertaining to elective courses in Accounting contact Bruce Roberts at 663-6761.

Advisor Approval and Planning
MBA students do not require advisor approval prior to registering. It is wise, however, to do some long range planning using the information available at this site, the Timetable and the Graduate Catalog.
