Message from the Dean

Welcome to Edgewood College’s School of Business website. Whether you are a new student, prospective student, parent, job seeker or just curious to learn more about the B-School, I think you’ll find the information you’re looking for on this website. If you don’t we’re only a phone call away and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs by phone or in person.

 

The School of Business is the second largest school at Edgewood with nearly 500 undergraduate and graduate students. We have an outstanding faculty to ensure that each student receives a quality education that prepares him/her for the future. We offer degree programs in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management and General Business at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. We offer an accelerated undergraduate degree in business for working adults. Courses are held in the evening and are 7-weeks in length and are designed to accommodate your busy lifestyle.

 

We offer a premium MBA program that provides students an opportunity to travel overseas, hear lectures and panel discussions from outstanding business leaders and network with their peers as they pursue their degree. We also have a top-notch MS-Accountancy program and several graduate certificates that offer specialized training for students. If you’re interested in urban and rural economic development then our graduate certificate program will give you the skills and knowledge you need to launch economic development initiatives in your community.

 

The B-school is on the move. We’re molding a new vision that will expand real-world business experiences both domestically and internationally for our students. Our world-class curriculum is intended to prepare our students to engage in a diverse, global, multicultural marketplace. We are committed to ensuring that each of our students receive a well-rounded learning experience during their tenure at Edgewood.

We are also directly linked to the business community through a very active advisory board. This 40+ member body is truly reflective of Dane County’s diverse business community. They advise the B-school faculty and me on a wide range of issues that ultimately help improve the learning environment for our students. Their guidance and support enables us to continually improve our program. Our motto is: Changing business through education: one student at a time. We’re  always mindful of what Mary Jean LeTendre says, “America's future walks through the doors of our schools every day”.
